The irresistible magic of red lips

Ke$ha is so damn right when she says its “ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-my Red Lipstick, which makes me so captivating!” No doubt a swipe of red lip color can amazingly make any woman look glamorous and sexy. Beautiful women of all generations from Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn to Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift, all have sported red lipstick.
Red lips possess an undeniable voluptuousness, which screams sex appeal, glamour and power all rolled into one. This shade is truly meant for chic, confident woman, who is not afraid of her own sexuality. Many women believe that red shade only looks good on fair pinkish complexion. However, this is not true; there are different shades of red that look good with different skin tones. Read on to shine the brightest with your red lip shade, no matter what skin color you have!
Before choosing the perfect shade for your skin tone, carefully examine your skin tone. If you have a pink undertone and your complexion turns ruddy in the skin then you have a cool skin tone. On the other hand if you have a yellow undertone then you have a warm skin tone. If you have an olive skin, go for more intense and warmer shades of red. If you have a medium to dark complexion then try orange based red lipstick, which also looks stunning on women who have golden tan. Blue based red shades, on the other hand are just perfect for fair skin with a rosy skin tone.
Avoid using maroon shade if you have brown hair as it will make your lips appear thinner complexion more shallow. The perfect red lipstick for fair skin and red hair is to opt for a lipstick that looks more like coral or orange. The perfect shade of red lipstick for fair skin and dark hair is to opt for a deep cherry red, wine red or shades that have a burgundy undertone.
As the red lipstick tends to enhance fine line on lips, exfoliate your lips with a tooth brush before applying lipstick, after that moisture your lips with a lip balm or vitamin e oil to bring that extra glow and then apply your lipstick boldly and confidently!
The most important thing when applying a red lip shade is keep the rest of your beauty subtle, with a neutral blush and a shimmery light eye shadow, ideally one color. Red lipstick has enough attitude of its own. Think sex goddess, think femme fatale, glamorous and yes subtle, most definitely not!
