Venice Biennale Party

The art world descends on Venice every two years with power parties putting the Oscars and Cannes far behind. At the Venice Biennale there are world's leading artists, dealers, billionaires and trillionaires to attend this party.

Personalities such as Alexander Dellal, Dasha Zhukova and Neville Wakefield hosted the floating party to celebrate the Commercial Break in Venice. At the party about Commercial Break that was mobile installation produced by Garage Projects with an accompanying iPad application by POST magazine, narrated, “We wanted to be the first to do a major video art project online. Seeing as how Venice is a city that usually only advertises itself, we thought it was perfect to ask artists to do work on the language of publicity in its changing landscape."

The floating pavilion is arranged on a barge that shows unique films or "commercials" from a laundry list containing 134 cutting-edge contemporary artists from China'sYi Zhou to Richard Phillips. Yi Zhou has her own pavilion in Venice this year and Richard Phillips marked his first incursion into film with Lindsay Lohan.

Floating Party quickly plunged into witnessing invitations like Michael Stipe who arrived late, Margherita Missoni, Charlotte Casiraghi  and Dasha Zhukova who seated near DJ booth.
